Job Description

As a Financial Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with multiple clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will report directly to the Director of Operations and work closely with other members of our Financial Operations team to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review of account reconciliations (bank accounts, loan accounts, credit cards) and review of income statement and balance sheet for accuracy. 
• Distribute monthly financial statements to clients, communicate results, answer performance questions, and provide recommendations.
• Prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports as necessary (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet).
• Assist with training of new staff and student interns.
• Calculate and prepare sales tax returns and tax payments.
• Assist with 1040 returns and business returns based on experience level.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in Financial Statement review and analysis.
• Experience with Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel and other cloud-based accounting solutions.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Work with confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
